Pain Reliever, Fever Reducer, Nasal Decongestant, Antihistamine Uses Temporarily relieves headache, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, fever and minor aches and pains due to a cold and for sneezing and itchy, watery eyes due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies. Temporarily relieves sinus congestion and pressure and reduces swelling of nasal passages. Directions Adults and children 12 years of age and over: 2 tablets every 4 hours, not to exceed 12 tablets in any 24 hour period. Children under 12 years of age: consult a doctor. Warnings Do not take this product if you have a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis, glaucoma, heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland, unless directed by a physician. ALCOHOL WARNING: Avoid alcoholic beverages while taking this product. If you generally consume 3 or more alcohol-containing drinks per day, you should consult your physician for advice on when and how you should take this product or any other acetaminophen-containing product. May cause drowsiness; alcohol, sedatives and tranquilizers may increase the drowsiness effect. Do not take this product if you are taking sedatives, or tranquilizers, without first consulting your physician. Use caution when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery. May cause excitability especially in children. Do not exceed recommended dosage. If nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness occur, discontinue use and consult a physician. Do not take this product for more than 7 days. Consult a physician if symptoms do not improve or are accompanied by a fever that lasts for more than 3 days, if new symptoms occur, if redness or swelling is present, or if sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days, or is accompanied by or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting. Drug Interaction Precaution: Do not take this product if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before taking this product. As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately. Prompt medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
